Ancient Gallic Cavalry

The Gallic Cavalry played a major role throughout the conflicts of the ancient Mediterranean. Valued for their skill, courage and mobility, Gallic mounted warriors served both their own tribes and foreign powers, including Carthage during the Punic Wars. Their reputation also made them highly valued allies within Roman armies.
