City Guard (English)

Both a police force and the city’s army, the Venetian City Guard protects the population while remaining deeply influenced by the ruling factions. Every member has a price, and the Guard’s loyalty is often bought by the Patricians, turning once benevolent defenders into corrupted enforcers. Though they maintain the appearance of order, they now serve their masters before the city they are meant to protect.
