Malifaux is a twisted mirror of an alternate Earth in the 1900s, a world of gothic horror, Victorian architecture, steampunk constructs, and wild west gunslingers. In these unstable lands, undead amalgamations, vengeful apparitions, and other nightmarish entities lurk in the shadows. Despite the constant danger, some still venture here, drawn by Soulstones—valuable resources buried deep within cavernous catacombs, worth far more than the risks required to claim them.
